Finding out about Church Membership
For those who are considering joining Larkhall New, as a Church Member, there will be an information evening held on Tuesday 30th January 2024 at 7.00pm in St Machan’s Session Room. It would be good to see you there.

Monday 15th January : Men’s Club: The next session of Indoor Bowls will meet tomorrow, Monday 15th January at 1.30p.m. in St Machan’s Church Hall. A Warm invitation is extended to all men of the congregation to come along and enjoy an afternoon of fun and fellowship.
Tuesday 16th January :
• The Guild begin the new session on Tuesday 17th January at 1.30p.m. in St Machan’s hall with a talk from Mike Taylor entitled “History of Art”.
• Snowdrop Bereavement Support Group : A new session returns starting on Tuesday 16th January 2024 from 7.30 – 9p.m. in the Lighthouse, King Street, Larkhall, running for 7 weeks. The aim is to help explore the impact of bereavement in a safe and confidential setting where it is hoped offering and allowing freedom to communicate personal experience with others in the same situation will help come to terms with and process their loss. If you are interested in attending or wish more information, please speak to Lorraine McKillop at Church or on 07749 761188.
Wednesday 17th January :
• Wednesday Morning Healing Prayer Group and Worship Service meet in St Machan’s. All will be made most welcome.
Prayer Service – 10.15 a.m.
Worship Service – 11.00 a.m.
• The Wednesday evening praise and prayer house group recommences this coming Wednesday at 7pm at 58 Hamilton Street. There is a warm welcome for all.
Sunday 21st - Morning Worship will be held in St Machan’s Church at the usual time of 11a.m.

Alpha Course : An Alpha course returns to our church and ALL ARE WELCOME to attend. We will meet on Wednesday evenings from 7.00 till 8.30pm. The 10 week course will start on 7th of February 2024 and will be held in St Machans Church building. Please see attached flier for more information.
An Alpha course returns to our church and ALL ARE WELCOME to attend. We will meet on Wednesday evenings from 7.00 till 8.30pm. The 10 week course will start on 7th of February 2024 and will be held in St Machans Church building.
The sessions cover the basics of the Christian Faith in a simple and straight forward way using videos hosted by Nicky Gumbel, the writer of the Alpha course, who is a very good and engaging speaker.
Being put on the spot is the big anxiety for folk thinking about attending the course. This will NOT HAPPEN, however personal questions and opinions can be given as and when you want ……. or not at all.
It is all about the individual meeting Jesus where they are, in their circumstances and building their personal relationship with him.
The group will consist of different people at different stages in their Christian experience, coming to listen, learn and understand in a relaxing environment….and you get a cup of tea.
If you are searching for some answers, I would encourage you to consider being part of the next course and if you are interested, please contact me to discuss or put your name on the list at the resource centre or church notice board in St Machans or Chalmers.
