Men’s Club : The next session of Indoor Bowls will meet tomorrow, Monday 30th September at 1.30p.m. in the Church Hall. A Warm invitation is extended to all men of the congregation to come along and enjoy an afternoon of fun and fellowship. There is no joining fee, just a small donation to help with tea/coffee costs.
The Guild : The new session of the Guild starts on Tuesday 1st October at 7.30p.m., when the speaker will be Major Val Merser, a retired officer from the Salvation Army social work sector. Could members please come along at 7.15p.m. to allow for registration.
Please note there will be no capitation fee for any new member joining this year. If you, or anyone you know, would like to come along and enjoy an evening of friendship and fellowship, you will be made most welcome.
Sunday 6th October : Morning Worship will be conducted by Mr Arthur Stewart.
Harvest Thanksgiving Thank You : Many, many thanks to everyone who donated gifts of fresh produce, non-perishable goods and cash last Sunday for our Harvest Thanksgiving Service. The food items were much appreciated and most gratefully received by the Glasgow Lodging House Mission. The superb sum of £300.00 was raised in cash donations and a cheque has now been sent to CrossReach. As always, you, the good folks of St Machan’s, show your love in Christ by great generosity and kindness in your giving.
CrossReach Calendars : Orders are now being taken for the 2020 CrossReach Circle of Care Calendars. Prices are £5.00 for a wall calendar and £4.50 for the appointment calendar. Closing date for orders is Sunday 6th October and orders can be placed with Isobel Begley or by telephoning her on 01698 884027.
Shoe Box Appeal : Our shoe box appeal for 2019 is now underway and leaflets are available around the Church. Please note that the latest date for returning boxes will be the last Sunday of October. For any further information, please contact John Gilroy.
Lighthouse Open Day : Larkhall Christians Together invite you to the Lighthouse Open Day, King St., Larkhall on Saturday 12th October from 10a.m. – 12noon, to celebrate their 2nd Birthday. You will meet the volunteers, find out more about what is happening in our community and enjoy a cup of tea, coffee and a chat. You will also be able to take a tour of the facilities, see a display of the services available in our local and surrounding areas and discover new ways to get involved in Larkhall life. Please do drop in, a warm welcome awaits you.
