INTIMATIONS 27th OCTOBER
Money Matters : We are now almost at the end of October, our designated month of special giving appeal. As a reminder as to what this is the article in the magazine on page 16 entitled “Money Matters” fully explains the need for this special appeal. Thank you to all who have already very kindly and generously returned the printed envelope found in your magazine with your donation. Should anyone need an envelope there are spares on the entrance table to the Church and if you are able to make a donation and pay tax, then please remember to complete the Gift Aid information on the front of the envelope. Thank you.
Guild Quiz - There are two boxes for quiz entries situated in the Church. One on the table as you come through the glass doors and the other at the side door leading to the office/ corridor. You can also give your entry to any Guild member. Last date for entries is Tuesday 5th November. Thank you.
Monday 28th October : Men’s Club. The new session will begin at 2.00p.m. in St Machan’s Church Hall, with a talk given by Robert Wilson MBE on “A Brief History of Spying”. A warm invitation is extended to all men of the congregation and friends to come along and enjoy an interesting afternoon and good fellowship.
Tuesday 29th October : Guild outing – Bus leaves at 6.30pm sharp from front of St Machan’s church for members going to see Joseph at Hamilton Town Hall.
Wednesday 30th October : The Wednesday Morning Prayer and Worship Service Services are held every Wednesday morning in the small hall in St Machan’s. A warm invitation is extended to everyone. You will be made most welcome.
Prayer Service – 10.15a.m.
Worship service – 11a.m.
Sunday 3rd November: Holy Communion will be celebrated during morning Worship, which will be held in St Machan’s Church at the usual time of 11a.m.
Advance Notice:
Tuesday 5th November : Guild Fundraising event – Taylor Fashions. Entrance £3.00 including tea/coffee and biscuits. Everyone welcome.
Sunday 10th November: Remembrance Sunday. There will be a short service at 11a.m. at the War Memorial in the park on Glenview. There will be 2 Remembrance Day Services for Larkhall New, the first will be held in St Machan’s at the later time of 11.30a.m., and the second in Chalmers Church at 3p.m.
