                     Intimations for Sunday 25th November

Men’s Club: The next meeting of the Men’s Club will take place tomorrow, Monday 26th November at 2.00p.m., when a talk will be given on “Industrial Larkhall” by Larkhall Heritage Group. A warm invitation is extended to all men to come along and enjoy an interesting and informative talk together with some good fellowship.

Christmas Concert : The Men’s Club is presenting a Christmas Concert in the Church on Saturday 8th December at 7.30p.m. Entertainment will be provided again by “The Stonehouse Male Voice Choir and Coalburn Silver Intermediate and Junior Bands”. Tickets, priced £5.00, which includes refreshments, are now available from the Resource Centre after morning Worship or from Club Members. There is no charge for children, when accompanied by an adult. Please support this event in aid of Church Funds.

The Guild: The Soup & Crusty Bread Lunch last Sunday was a great success. The committee would like to thank everyone for their support. The sum of £344.75 was raised for Guild funds.

The next meeting of the Guild will be this coming Tuesday, 27th November when the Guild leaders will visit Parker Place at 2p.m.

Christian Aid - Hand-made cards will be on sale at the back of the church with all proceeds going to Christian Aid.

Holy Communion and Advent Gift Sunday : On 2nd December Holy Communion will be celebrated during Morning Worship. Elders Communion rotas are now available in the boxes in the Guild room.  If you have a duty and are unable to fulfil it, please ensure you arrange for someone to substitute for you.

Our Advent Gift Service will also take place on the 2nd December, with the children of the Sunday Fun Club coming into Church and helping collect all the parcels.

If you are able to donate a gift, please do not wrap it up but either put it in a gift bag or in a carrier bag with a sheet of wrapping paper. Please also mark on the outside the gender and age of the recipient of your gift.

Foodbank Donations : At a recent Kirk Session meeting it was suggested and agreed that a permanent box be placed in the vestibule for donations to the Larkhall Foodbank. When doing your weekly shopping, and if you are able, please pick up one or two extra items and drop them in the box on a Sunday morning. The Session Clerk has asked the Food Bank personnel she be notified if and when there is a particular need for specific items and will accordingly note these in the intimations.

All donations will be most welcome, much appreciated and gratefully accepted.
