Men’s Club : The next session of Indoor Bowls will meet tomorrow, Monday 21st October at 1.30p.m. in the Church Hall. A Warm invitation is extended to all men of the congregation to come along and enjoy an afternoon of fun and fellowship.
Friendship Circle : The next meeting of the Friendship Circle will be on Tuesday 22nd October at 2.00p.m. in the hall, when jewellery designer, Shirley Paris will be the guest speaker. A warm invitation is extended to all to come along an enjoy an interesting afternoon and plenty of good fellowship.
Shoe Box Appeal : Our shoe box appeal for 2019 is now underway and leaflets are available around the Church. Please note that the latest date for returning boxes will be October, 27th. For any further information, please contact John Gilroy.
Flower Rota : It’s that time of year again! A blank rota sheet for the first 6 months of 2020 is now on the Notice Board in the Guild Room, where the flowers are arranged, and I am looking for your help in filling up the calendar. I am very grateful to those who already generously volunteer and hope you will continue to do so. We do need more volunteers though - the more there are the better. If you are able to take a turn, even if only for 1 Sunday, then please fill your name on the rota against the Sunday/s of your choice stating your preference as to supplying, delivering or both. By doing so you will help keep our Sanctuary beautiful on a Sunday morning but, more importantly, by delivering a bunch of flowers to those in our congregation and beyond in their time of greatest need or time of happy celebration you will be providing one of the most important pastoral care roles in the life of our Church. Vision Prayer Breakfast : The next VPB will be on Saturday morning 2nd November in the hall. Breakfast will be served from 9.30a.m. A short time of Worship and time of prayer will follow from 10a.m. A warm invitation is extended to everyone in our Church Family to come along and share in this special time of prayer.
The Guild Rededication Service : This will take place during morning worship on Sunday 3rd November. Would Guild members please meet in the hall at 10.45a.m.
Holy Communion : This will be celebrated during morning Worship on Sunday 3rd November. Elders duty rotas are now available for uplifting from their boxes in the Guild room.
St Andrew’s Night Concert : The Guild and Men’s Club of St Machan’s Church are collaborating to present a St Andrew’s Night Concert in the Church on Monday 4th November at 7.30p.m. Entertainment on the evening will be provided by the Folk Group, “Luckenbooth”. Tickets are priced £5.00, which includes refreshments, can be obtained from Guild and Men’s Club members. Proceeds in aid of Church funds.
