Musical Extravaganza : Many of you attended the wonderful, fundraising concert in
June put on by Shonagh Murray and her theatre group, “Fearless Players”, to help
with costs for their Edinburgh Festival debut. To show their appreciation, Shonagh
and her friends wish to express their thanks by putting on another show for us, free
of charge, with all proceeds, this time, going to the Church Hall Roof fund. The
concert, on Saturday 2 nd February at 7.00p.m., will be a night of music and song.
Tickets priced £5.00, which include refreshments, are now available from any elder. If
you didn’t manage to the last concert, you missed a real treat so please do come
along and enjoy a wonderful night’s entertainment and give your support to both
Shonagh and the Church Hall Roof Fund.

A Notice and Thank You from the Foodbank: We must again thank you all for your
very generous donations to the foodbank throughout the year. At the end of
November, we participated in the Tesco National Collection at their branch in
Lesmahagow and we were overwhelmed by the sheer amount of donations received
which were augmented by an initiative from the local travelling community. The
generosity of the public at large never ceases to amaze us. Our customers at the
foodbank find it more difficult to cope at Christmas especially those with children.
Those of us who volunteer at the foodbank are grateful that we can help to ease
their burden because you give so generously. Thank you and God bless you all.
