Book Club : The next meeting is tomorrow morning, Monday 7th October at 10.30a.m. at 14 Saltire Crescent. The book being discussed this month is “Rebecca” by Daphne Du Maurier. Anyone wishing to join the book club, please do come along where you will be made most welcome and will be assured of some good, stimulating discussion.
Men’s Club : The next session of Indoor Bowls will meet tomorrow, Monday 7th October at 1.30p.m. in the Church Hall. A Warm invitation is extended to all men of the congregation to come along and enjoy an afternoon of fun and fellowship. There is no joining fee, just a small donation to help with tea/coffee costs.
Friendship Circle : The first meeting of the new session of the Friendship Circle will meet on Tuesday 8th October at 2.00p.m. in the hall. The afternoon will take the form of a quiz, singalong and natter. A warm invitation is extended to all to come along an enjoy an afternoon of fellowship.
Shoe Box Appeal : Our shoe box appeal for 2019 is now underway and leaflets are available around the Church. Please note that the latest date for returning boxes will be the last Sunday of October. For any further information, please contact John Gilroy.
Lighthouse Open Day : Larkhall Christians Together invite you to the Lighthouse Open Day, King St., Larkhall on Saturday 12th October from 10a.m. – 12noon, to celebrate their 2nd Birthday. You will meet the volunteers, find out more about what is happening in our community and enjoy a cup of tea, coffee and a chat. You will also be able to take a tour of the facilities, see a display of the services available in our local and surrounding areas and discover new ways to get involved in Larkhall life. Please do drop in, a warm welcome awaits you.
Concert : The Guild and Men’s Club of St Machan’s Church are collaborating to present a St Andrew’s Night Concert in the Church on Monday 4th November at 7.30p.m. Entertainment on the evening will be provided by the Folk Group, “Luckenbooth”. Tickets are priced £5.00, which includes refreshments, can be obtained from Guild and Men’s Club members. Proceeds in aid of Church funds.
