INTIMATIONS 1st FEBRUARY

Monday 2nd Feb: 

Book Club - will meet at 10.30a.m. in Larkhall Library. The book being discussed this month is “Underground Railroad” by Colson Whitehead. A warm invitation is extended to any book lovers to join us for some lively discussions.

Men’s Club – Indoor Bowls at the usual time of 1.30p.m. in the hall of Larkhall New, St Machan’s building. A Warm invitation is extended to all men of the congregation and friends to come along and enjoy an afternoon of fun and fellowship.

Tuesday 3rd Feb: The Guild: The next meeting will begin at 1.30p.m. in the hall at Larkhall New – St Machan’s. The ladies will hear about The Guild Project for this year – “Bibles for Bairns”. The speaker will have a stall with items for sale. A warm invitation is extended to all.

Quiz sheets are now available from Margaret Martin at cost of £2.00. All proceeds go to Guild funds.

Wednesday 4th Feb - Wednesday Morning Prayer and Worship Service. Services are held every Wednesday morning in the small hall in Larkhall New - St Machan’s. A warm invitation is extended to everyone. You will be made most welcome.

Prayer Service – 10.15a.m.

Worship service – 11a.m.

Thursday 5th Feb: Alpha Course

An Alpha course returns to our church and ALL ARE WELCOME to attend. We will meet on Thursday evenings from 7.00 till 8.30pm. The 10-week course will start on 5th February 2026 and will be held in our St Machan’s Church building.

The sessions cover the basics of the Christian Faith in a simple and straight forward way using videos hosted by Nicky Gumbel, the writer of the Alpha course, who is a very good and engaging speaker. If you would like more information, then please contact Graham on 07889007427. Sunday 8th Feb: Morning Worship will be at the usual time of 11a.m. in Larkhall New – Chalmers building.

ADVANCE NOTICE – Dates for your Diary

Tuesday 10th Feb: 1st Larkhall Girls' Brigade - Pancake Night - Chalmers Building

 Our annual pancake night is back!! We will be open to everyone on Tuesday 10 February at 7pm. Delicious pancakes are freshly made on the night, choose your topping jam, butter, syrup or chocolate served with tea/coffee or juice. £3 per person and all funds raised are being donated to Beatson Cancer Charity. Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult.

Wednesday 18th Feb: 3rd Larkhall Girls’ Brigade – Beetle Drive – St Machan’s Building

The Girls’ Brigade are holding a Beetle Drive on Wednesday 18th February 2026 at 7pm in the hall. This is to raise funds to help subsidise their membership fees.  Tickets are £3.00. Tea/Coffee and biscuits will be provided on the night. Come along for a few hours of fun.
