                      Intimations for Sunday 18th November

Men’s Club Indoor Bowls: The next session of indoor bowls is tomorrow, Monday 19th November at 1.30 in the hall. A warm invitation is extended to all men of the congregation to come along and enjoy an afternoon of fun, friendship and fellowship.

The Guild : the next meeting will take place on Tuesday 20th November at 7.30p.m. in the hall. This year the Guild Project is “Free to Live Trust – Seema’s Project” and       will be speaking about this project. A warm invitation is extended to all to come along and enjoy an interesting talk together with a time of fellowship.

Christian Aid - Hand-made cards will be on sale at the back of the church with all proceeds going to Christian Aid.

St Andrews Hospice Capital Appeal: The following is a note from the Hospice.

The refurbishment works at the hospice were completed in late Spring 2018 and the patients were moved back into our Henderson Street home in June. We have now raised over £6million and we would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has helped us achieve this fantastic milestone! We still have a lot of fundraising to do to finish the job and it would be wonderful if you would continue to support us in any way that you can. I would like to ask for your support again this year and ask your churches if they would hold a retiral offering on the Sunday nearest to St Andrews Day. Your continued support would be hugely appreciated by everyone at St Andrew’s Hospice.”

A retiral offering will take place after morning worship next Sunday 25th November in support of this appeal. If you are able, please give what you can.

Larkhall Christmas Fayre : The Fayre is on Friday 30th November. We hope that each of the churches can be represented on the night, to sing carols at the corner of King Street, outside the Lighthouse and I'm sure you will agree that a joint churches choir singing Christmas carols at some point over the evening, would bring something of the true spirit of Christmas to the event.

Three choir practices have been arranged for Monday 12th, 19th and 26th of November at 7.30pm in Larkhall Baptist Church. Please contact Nancy Barr of Larkhall Christians Together on 888088, if you need any further information, otherwise, please go along to Larkhall Baptist Church as detailed above for rehearsals.

Holy Communion and Advent Gift Sunday : On 2nd December Holy Communion will be celebrated during Morning Worship. Elders Communion rotas are now available in the boxes in the Guild room.  If you have a duty and are unable to fulfil it, please ensure you arrange for someone to substitute for you.

Our Advent Gift Service will also take place on the 2nd December, with the children of the Sunday Fun Club coming into Church and helping collect all the parcels.

If you are able to donate a gift, please do not wrap it up but either put it in a gift bag or in a carrier bag with a sheet of wrapping paper. Please also mark on the outside the gender and age of the recipient of your gift
