INTIMATIONS 2nd NOVEMBER
Shoebox Appeal – I am delighted to say 147 filled boxes were donated form Larkhall New with a further 67 from Dalserf Church. In addition £800 was collected in cash donations and once tax relief from gift aid is added the total will be £1000. Each box is an expression of your care and kindness to a stranger in desperate need. Thank you so much to everyone who was able to help with this appeal.
Church Christmas Magazine - Could all contributions for the Christmas Magazine be given to Robert Hamilton by Sunday 23rd November or before, if possible. Thank you.
Monday 3rd November :
• Book Club - will meet at 10.30a.m. in Larkhall Library. The book being discussed this month is “Any Human Heart” by William Boyd. A warm invitation is extended to any book lovers to join us for some lively discussions.
• Men’s Club – Indoor Bowls at the usual time of 1.30p.m. in the hall of Larkhall New, St Machan’s building. A Warm invitation is extended to all men of the congregation and friends to come along and enjoy an afternoon of fun and fellowship.
• Contact – is our bible study which is held on Monday evenings in our St Machan’s building from 7.00 – 8.00p.m. The format is a relaxed café style where all can feel comfortable as we find out more about God, Jesus and his plans for us. No matter our age or Christian experience we are all seeking to know more and Contact will be delivered in a simple and straight forward way that we can all relate to.
All are welcome and you can bring a friend as no one will be put on the spot.............Come and be Refreshed, Refocused and Renewed.
Tuesday 4th November :
• Coffee Morning ☕️- from 10am to 11.30a.m in Larkhall New – St Machan’s hall. All are welcome. Please come along and enjoy the coffee/tee and of course good fellowship.
• The Guild : The Guild will meet at 1.30p.m. in the hall of Larkhall New - St Machan’s building when they will have a talk on this year’s Guild Project “Crossreach”. A warm invitation is extended to all.
Wednesday 5th November - Wednesday Morning Prayer and Worship Service. Services are held every Wednesday morning in the small hall in Larkhall New - St Machan’s. A warm invitation is extended to everyone. You will be made most welcome.
Prayer Service – 10.15a.m.
Worship service – 11a.m.
Sunday 9th November : Remembrance Sunday, there will be a short service at 11a.m. at the War Memorial in the park on Glenview. There will be 2 Remembrance Day Services for Larkhall New, the first will be held in St Machan’s at the later time of 11.30a.m., and the second in Chalmers Church at 3p.m.
ADVANCE NOTICE:
1st Larkhall Girls' Brigade will hold its annual coffee morning on Saturday 15 November in Chalmers Building from 10am until 12noon. Everyone is warmly invited to join us for tea/coffee and delicious home baking along with tombola and fun games. We would love to see you in our new home for our first coffee morning, there will be a lovely atmosphere and a warm welcome. Thank you. Maureen
