Shoe Box Appeal 2025
A great big thanks to all who contributed to this year’s shoe box appeal.
Our final number of boxes collected was 222, as well as around £830 in donations, much of which was eligible for 20% tax relief through gift aid.
Theses figures included 67 boxes and £75 cash received from Dalserf Parish Church and 15 boxes from Strathaven Evangelican Church.
Fitted with small, practical items such as toiletries, stationary, sweets and clothing, the individually wrapped boxes will be distributed in Schools, hospitals, orphanages and care homes, and to households in very low income communities throughout third world countries.
Many this year will also be heading to people affected by the wars in Ukraine and Palestine.
Many thanks for all your kindness and generosity making 2025 another very successful appeal.
Your gift truly makes a difference
Shoe boxes have been more difficult to come by this year and so if anyone has any surplus over the coming year, just bring them along to Church and I’ll be happy to store them
