Men’s Club : The new session of Indoor Bowls is now up and running every 1st & 3rd Monday afternoons from September to April at 1.30p.m. in the Church Hall. A Warm invitation is extended to all men of the congregation to come along and enjoy an afternoon of fun and fellowship. There is no joining fee, just a small donation to help with tea/coffee costs.
Guild Big Quiz : This event is being promoted by the Church of Scotland Guild and takes place on Saturday 14th September at 7.30p.m. in the Church Hall. All the Church organisations have been asked to take part and put forward a team. This is guaranteed to be an evening of fun and fellowship and a warm invitation is extended to all to come along and cheer on your team and enjoy some light refreshments.
Session Meeting : There will be a Kirk Session meeting on Thursday 19th September at 7.00p.m. in the Session House. Minutes of the previous meeting have now been issued to all elders electronically with paper copies on the boxes of those not on line.
Vision Prayer Breakfast : The next VPB will be on Saturday morning 21st September in the hall. Breakfast will be served from 9.30a.m. A short time of Worship and time of prayer will follow from 10a.m. A warm invitation is extended to everyone in our Church Family to come along and share in this special time of prayer.
Harvest Thanksgiving : This will be celebrated on Sunday 22nd September during Morning Worship. Donations of fruit, vegetables and non-perishable foods will be most gratefully received. Anyone wishing to make a cash donation, please put the money in a sealed envelope, marked donation.
All food donations will go to the Glasgow Lodging House Mission. This year, CrossReach is celebrating it’s 150th anniversary. 150 years of loving social care provided by the Church of Scotland, helping over 10,000 people a year living in Scotland at their 70 services throughout the country, one of which is in Larkhall. To help them celebrate and raise awareness of this, the Business Committee agreed all cash donations will be given to CrossReach.
