Musical Concert Cancellation : It is with real regret the concert planned for Friday 7th June has had to be cancelled. This is due to the fact, on that same evening, a large Orange Walk parade with 20+ bands will be marching through the town. This will hugely impact access to the Church, parking and of course, the volume of noise will completely overshadow the concert party. Thank you to everyone for your support and again, sincere apologies for the disruption. All ticket money will be refunded, and it is hoped a future date can be agreed with Shonagh and her friends. It will be worth waiting for.
McWhirter Home : St Machan’s will take the afternoon service at McWhirter Home on Sunday 2nd June at 3.00p.m. As always, Alastair would be grateful for your support to help with the singing and to share a short time of fellowship with the residents.
Flower Rota : A blank Flower Rota for July – December is now on the notice board in the Guild Room and I am looking for your help in filling up the calendar. I am very grateful to those who already generously volunteer and hope you will continue to do so. We do need more volunteers though - the more there are the better. If you are able to take a turn, even if only for 1 Sunday, then please fill your name on the rota against the Sunday/s of your choice stating your preference as to supplying, delivering or both. By doing so you will help keep our Sanctuary beautiful on a Sunday morning but, more importantly, by delivering a bunch of flowers to those in our congregation and beyond in their time of greatest need or time of happy celebration you will be providing one of the most important pastoral care roles in the life of our Church. Dalserf Church Teas : Saturday Afternoon Teas have recommended at Dalserf Parish Church from 11th May – 31st August, 12 noon – 4.00p.m., with tea, coffee and home baking. A warm invitation is extended to all to drop in and enjoy some fellowship and delicious cakes.
